Today is the beginning of our salvation, the revelation of the eternal mystery! The Son of God becomes the Son of the Virgin, as Gabriel announces the coming of Grace. Together with him let us cry to the Theotokos: Hail, O Full of Grace, the Lord is with You!
– Troparion of the feast, in the fourth tone
With great joy, we greet you on this holy feast! While we are unable to come together to celebrate by sharing the Eucharist, we hope that this feast will provide an opportunity to abide in God’s grace, filled with joy, hope, and love. Let us be reassured, knowing that this feast day announces the Good News of Christ’s coming into the flesh, and that by His Resurrection, the created order, which was fallen, is made anew.
