On November 29-30, our parish celebrated our patronal feast (the feast of our parish’s patron saint) of Holy Apostle Andrew, the first-called of the disciples. As part of the celebration, we welcomed our archpastor, His Eminence Archbishop Michael, to lead us in the divine services.
At the conclusion of the Hierarchical Liturgy, His Eminence presented Fr. John a diocesan gramota (official citation) congratulation Fr. John on the 35th anniversary of his ordination to the holy priesthood.
We were enriched by his preaching on the life of St. Andrew, fed through the Eucharist, and strengthened by our fellowship following the service. In particular, we appreciated the fellowship of Fr. Maximos and Fr. Silouan, who were visiting from the Monastery of St. Dionysios in St. James, NY. Thank you to all who came and prayed with us!
